We agree with the vision of Better Globe and Better Globe Forestry and that is the vision and long-term goal is to reduce poverty and corruption in Africa through Sustainable and commercially viable forestry solutions that allows people to be a part of this solution, create a better and more secure life for themselves and be given the opportunity to purchase trees. We want to help support these projects that create jobs and help farmers to increase the returns on their land, finance microloan banks, schools and water-related projects and we do all this through environmental and forestry investments. This we believe will help to address some of the world’s greatest challenges and can make a real difference. We are excited to be able to support a company that has shown that their ideas have been correct and that it is possible to run a sustainable and commercially viable forestry business. This company prioritizes working holistically and sustainably, and we want to offer people to help and support this work in Africa while at the same time be given a financially sound opportunity.
What makes this opportunity extra exciting is that it takes care of both people and the environment through viable forestry activities. This creates value for the local population and above all a large proportion of women. This creates the living conditions through partnerships with local farmers through agroforestry, micro-loans, education and by providing clean water.

Rino Solberg is Chairman of the Board and also the founder and principal owner of the Better Globe AS and BG Forestry Ltd. Rino is from Norway and has worked within a wide range of areas as a serial entrepreneur during 50 years. It was around 1990 that Rino, together with his wife Julie Solberg, began to create what would among other things, lead to the Better Globe Group of companies, www.betterglobe.com.
Rino founded “Solberg Children’s Help Organization” together with his wife, an organization that later became Child Africa, which is a major non-profit organization in Uganda. As Rino and Julie were increasingly in contact with the problems of poverty, corruption and crime, they got an idea of how to effectively counteract this. In 2004 this idea led us to see Better Globe Forestry planting their first trees in semi-desert areas in Kenya, where no other contractor so far had chosen to establish themselves. Rino is determined that this is an effective way to combat poverty and fight corruption and crime.
