UNITED & EMPOWERING MILLIONS is committed to helping families and individuals who are financially challenged by providing transport, life-essential goods and compassionate support services.

UNITED & EMPOWERING MILLIONS ASSOCIATION in Portugal is therefore seeking applications to support urban families in Portugal’s cities and individuals with transportation needs, or who are physically disabled, financially vulnerable, come from difficult backgrounds, are in need of help and have somehow survived various difficulties and challenges throughout their lives.

The initiative aims to address the extreme social hardship faced by urban communities living in unsafe and insecure conditions and locations, or facing eviction. UNITED & EMPOWERING MILLIONS ASSOCIATION wants to offer these people accessible alternatives.

These families hope to receive innovative proposals that primarily address critical issues related to support with financial resources and where lack of transportation may be what prevents them from accessing a job, keeping them trapped, financially, physically and emotionally disconnected, suffering alone, unable to work. United & Empowering Millions’ goal is to create an effective improvement in the quality of life for the many families in need in Portugal. Empowering Millions aims to improve these people’s lives and transform their current situation by realizing their aspirations and providing them with transportation, food, clothing and other essential goods that can help them take steps towards empowerment, emancipation, economic security and a network of people committed to their sustainable well-being and quality of life.

Description of our delivery services

UNITED & EMPOWERING MILLIONS is a non-profit organization serving families and individuals living in West and Central Algarve with plans to expand their services to the rest of Portugal.

Delivery services:

Food items delivered – Delivery of food from the grocery shelf – Families choose the food that best suits their needs through the need relief form available here on our website. UNITED & EMPOWERING MILLIONS provides bread, frozen and shelf-stable foods and they also offer pre-packaged recipe boxes for real home-cooked meals where these recipe boxes come with all the ingredients in the exact amount needed – meaning there is very little, if any, food waste. The food programme will be free of charge in certain circumstances or at prices low enough to be very affordable.

Clothing and household items delivered – The clothing programme is a shopping model where families choose the items that best suit their needs through the need relief form available here on our website provided for this purpose. The clothing programme will be free of charge in certain circumstances or at prices low enough to be very affordable.

Holidays and Special Occasions delivered – Holiday gifts, school supplies, Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, office supplies and snacks for children.

Meals on Wheels delivery – Free under certain circumstances or for a small fee, meals are delivered to participants’ homes on certain days of the week, Monday-Friday.

Peace of Mind Housing Fund – UNITED & EMPOWERING MILLIONS fund has been established to provide financial and legal assistance to families who, because of their special needs, we are able to help with our delivery services. Our goal is to help them remain in their homes or obtain stable long-term housing.
