ACQUIREMNT OF BUILDING THAT WILL SERVE OUR COMMUNITY

About the building we are looking for funds for:

The building will be the focal point from which we will provide free food and drink to everyone in need on a larger scale so the building will contain a soup kitchen that will be open daily and there will be delivery services that will go out from the building with food distribution to families in need throughout Algarve.

The building will also be a production, training, administration, manufacturing and distribution center for these individuals and start-ups where their goods and services will be manufactured, marketed and sold and where all profits will be used for their own businesses so that they can grow and develop their businesses with the support of a professional network of people who will stand behind them and support them locally and with an international outreach.

Our aim is to provide a supportive and welcoming space for skills development, training services, business start-up services and economic inclusion support to a large proportion of the local population. We strive to support artistically, technically and inventively talented individuals and local start-ups with production, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing services and distribution of their developed goods and services.

It is these talented, creative and sometimes highly experienced people of all ages that we want to highlight, support and offer help to establish themselves and the opportunity to develop or share their current skills so that they can offer services and products both nationally and internationally on a larger scale that will be of benefit and enjoyment to many.

We will work supportively with a mission to motivate those who have been marginalised, stigmatised as a as a consequence of traumatic life situations where individuals have often experienced both homelessness, loneliness, substance abuse and possibly even been victims of modern-day slavery and human trafficking. We also aim to support individuals of all ages who may have recently lost their work or income and are ready for a new start in life, but who are in need of direction, resources, skills training, a strong network or support in some other way.

Target group:

• People who are tired and exhausted and feel unmotivated and poor and have a hard time seeing how to start anything.

• People who are weary and burdened.

• Single parents and providers who simply lack basic things like food and clothing.

• Widows, single men and the homeless.

• People with who have recovered from substance abuse problems that want a new start

• Families who have a hard time and need help but who do not want to ask friends and family for help.

• People who are committed and aspire to undertake some form of education, but who do not themselves have the financial means to do so and who feel trapped.

• People who have a good business idea and want to improve on it with expert advice and receive practical help through a network of teachers and business leaders who can help them realise their goals and convert their passion into a a plan that can lay the foundation for a sustainable and profitable business.

• People who have lost their income as a result of shutdowns and lay-offs or similar

• People who want to start on a fresh

Our purpose to acquire a building for our causes is based on the fact that we have a big vision of transformed lives, renewed minds, freedom and empowerment for people in need within these groups. Many are in a situation where they feel hopelessness, depression, fear of the future and lack of motivation and we want to show them that they can change the social heritage and the negative thought pattern of their mindset.

We want to build them up with everything from basic necessities like food and clothing to skills training, education and practical ways to turn their potential into proper business plans that can lead to a sustainable income and self-sufficiency, where they can support themselves and have a better quality of life, transforming their self-image and life situation.

In this way they can achieve what they did not think was possible for them. These individuals will be impacted in a whole new way and have the support system and networks they need.

They will have real opportunities with a practical, supportive and value-driven foundation in life so that they can transform their lives and impact their own families and communities in a positive and sustainable way.

It’s about being welcomed into a safe place, being built up and being with people who believe in them, while being given the support they need, equipped with new skills, resources, a sense of self-esteem and a renewed mindset so that they can go out differently, be sent out differently and be transformed compared to how they were when they came in.

The project is ongoing but we need the building now so we can welcome as many people as possible and start our projects in order to help people in need.
